So it is no secret that Registry Office weddings have become quite formulaic over the years. Couples are presented with a few minor options when it comes to actually making the wedding ceremony personal and unique to you. In addition to the scripted ceremonies, music choices and of course ceremony locations are very restricted and can quite often leave couples feeling a little uninspired. On the flip side to that, opting to have a Celebrant led wedding is completely different and we catch up with Julia Hawkes to help explain why in our words – they are an awesome alternative.
Your wedding should be a moving and memorable occasion and by connecting with you both on a personal level, as a Wedding Celebrant I will create a bespoke ceremony that will always exceed your expectations. I have superb organisational and communication skills, coupled with empathy and integrity, that will instill you with confidence and allow you to relax about the ceremony – I’ve got you!
3. And what sets you apart?
I am an imaginative, creative celebrant who will be open to all your ideas and wishes. I have undertaken a professional qualification and work to a recognised code of ethics. I believe that only the best is good enough for ceremonies marking such significant events. I am a member of the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants and as a Cotswold ‘native’ I can personally recommend many of the most prestigious venues (of course Glenfall House is one of the best!) and the best suppliers in this part of the world, so if you live further afield and would like some guidance please just ask.
I believe that ceremonies play a central role in the lives of everyone. I look forward to working with you regardless of your race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment or disability.
– You are a discerning couple looking to create a Cotswolds wedding of distinction
– You are seeking something more memorable than the typical registrar led ceremony
– You want your ceremony to reflect the unique qualities you both have
– You want to be able to choose the person who conducts your ceremony
5. And finally, can couples meet you before making a decision?
Of course! I offer a free face to face consultation meeting within Gloucestershire and neighbouring counties. If you live further afield we can schedule a skype conversation or I am happy to travel throughout the UK and abroad if travel costs are met.
Of course for any Glenfall couples I will be at the next wedding fayre on the 22nd May if they would like to meet then!
