Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Cornwall

I am your life celebrant living and working in beautiful Cornwall. Happy, fresh and energetic – trained through the UK Society of Celebrants with a Diploma in Family and Funeral Celebrancy.

Originally from the north of England my background in event management has taken me across the globe. Working alongside people from all walks of life and experiencing different cultures along the way. It was a fabulous opportunity one which I fully embraced.

Travelling is certainly in my blood and during my life I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to undertake in some fabulous adventures. Including trekking to Everest Base camp – twice, scuba diving on the Great barrier reef and following the Inca Trail to see Machu Picchu. Making and taking opportunities when they present themselves is such a life lesson which I share whenever possible. Currently working on my next adventure!

The simple things in life are just as rewarding and I love nothing more than taking my dog for walks on the windswept blustery beaches of Cornwall which I am very lucky to now have on my doorstep. Oh and obviously a lovely cup of tea is a must.

Food is another great passion of mine…my family often jest that I plan my day around the food that I intend to eat rather than the food fitting into my day. Needless to say due to my great love of travelling I can often be found cooking up a Thai or Indian meal to feed the 5000.

Health and well being is of great importance to me and I practice yoga daily. It gives me the opportunity to switch off and retreat to that special place. It enhances my life and I would recommend it to anyone.

Utilising all my skills and personal attributes to create ceremonies is truly rewarding.

Throughout my celebrant training there was a recurring theme : ‘It is not my story…it’s yours’. That is the premise for all the services provided and this will become apparent from the first time that we meet.

However, to get to meet you in the first place you do need to know about me!

I work exclusively as a wedding and funeral celebrant and focus on making each and every service unique and truly memorable. I will work for you to design and deliver a ceremony that will give the opportunity for celebrating the joys in life that we wish to share with others, for remembrance and to rejoice in new life entering the world.

As your guide we will create the perfect occasion including personal or traditional pieces of music, readings and any additional elements or rituals with contributions from loved ones to make every ceremony unique. Embracing all philosophies and beliefs I will incorporate as much or as little religious or spiritual content as is desired.

I am a great listener, great writer and great performer – having all the skills that you would expect when working alongside people experiencing the extremes of sadness and grief or the happiest of moments in life.

Feel inspired to be as unique as you wish to be as the possibilities are endless. You have the choice to undertake whatever service you may wish and it is my job to facilitate and deliver that.

Let’s create ceremonies to celebrate each and every milestone in life whether this is welcoming new life in a naming ceremony or remembering a life in the way that they wish and all the momentous occasions in between.

I feel so fortunate to share the happiest and saddest times in life with people. It is an absolute privilege.
