For years he delivered our daily forecast on Tv3. Come sun, rain or shine Conor Clear was the man who had the details on whether or not Ireland would have a decent Irish summer.
For the Dublin man, though tv was not always in his sights. Sitting down with his mum, Anne she made the revelation, much to Conor’s dismay that Conor wanted to join the priesthood.

Growing up, he was an entertainer from the very beginning and according to his mum made some entrance into the world by arriving two weeks early.
By the time he was in school, the creative side shone through, and somewhat of a rebel lay inside Conor as he began to take on the role of class joker and often got caught impersonating teachers.
But how could we just float over the news that Conor used to perform mass in his sitting room? As much as Conor laughed and wanted to avoid the childhood memory, I wasn’t going to let him away with it and neither was his mum.
‘As a child, he was very entertaining and you could see it very early on. Mints were used for the Holy Communion and the most important bit was the church collection.
With his head in his hands Conor laughs and says ‘ok yeh I used to put ma’s dressing gown on and it was all going well until I’d start passing the basket around, they didn’t want to attend mass.’
Little did Conor know that he would end up in a similar position, many years later.
Starting off as a runner in TV3 Conor soon progressed to weatherman and often appeared beside his good friend, Andrea Hayes presenting different shows.
In life Conor says he has one motto in life ‘your vibe attracts your vibe,’ something he has carried with him for years, and believes that thanks to this mentality, life has been good to him.
In 2017, life took a new path, and his days as practicing as a priest were soon about to pay off. After a close friend asked for him to act as a celebrant at their wedding, Conor realised that this was the way forward.
While he may spend most of his time asking couples to say ‘I do’, his love of the stage is never too far away and this year he he be taking on the role of Hook in Peter Pan which will be happening in February at the Grange, Woodbine in Raheny.
