How to get married
Meeting Up – We have a chat, either at a cafe/pub, or via Zoom, and I listen to what you want your wedding day to look like and I make sure I am suited to what you are looking for- so drop me an email and we can arrange a time to chat that suits you.
Notice of Intended Marriage – The next step is to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage with me, this has to be done at least one month prior to your wedding date. In order to be married, you will have to show me (at any stage prior to the wedding taking place) Passports or Birth Certificates and Drivers Licences and Divorce Certificates (if applicable).
Organising your Ceremony – I can show you endless options and give you loads of ideas! Your wedding can be long, short, funny, romantic, traditional, personalised or even generic. You may choose to have sound effects, a sing a long, a lucky dip for witnesses or a ring warming ceremony. You can choose for the ceremony to be 5 minutes or 50 minutes- I don’t mind, I just want it to reflect you! You then make your choices and I provide a draft for you to edit.
Rehearsal – I love having relaxed rehearsals with my couples, it can give you a lot more confidence on your wedding day and I can answer any lingering questions for you or your wedding party in preparation for the big day.
Wedding Day! – I arrive at least 30-45 mins prior to the ceremony, set up my fantastic PA system and get ready for the big event. I love having a chat to your family and friends, and venue managers to make sure everything runs smoothly. Then we begin and you get married!
After the Wedding – I like to contact you for feedback, because it is important to me. I also direct you to Births, Deaths and Marriages to obtain your official wedding certificate. I love, love, love to stay in touch! Hopefully I get to name your babies, help you to re-new your vows or even bury your great-grandma (eek!).
Here at The Ceremony Store I work hard to ensure that getting married is easy, fun and memorable as possible- I love what I do and I hope it shows!
