A beautiful late November day for Nick and Elly’s wedding ceremony.

Living on the lane, Nick and Elly had driven past plenty of wedding ceremony and reception setups in The Secret Garden over the years – so it was a given that when looking for a garden to get married in, they rang and booked in a garden visit with us. They were blown away by how beautiful the garden was and amazed at how little of it you can see from the road. They had already booked their reception at the beautiful Burrawang Pub, which is a short 5-minute drive from us, so were very pleased that we had their date free to allow them to book the garden for their ceremony.

It was a beautiful spring day with a top of 27 degrees and a slight breeze and the roses in full bloom – just perfect for a garden wedding.

Michelle and Ellie from Blooms of Bowral arrived early to set up a magnificent combination of dried and fresh flowers and foliage on free-standing pillars. Free standing pillars are a modern twist on the more traditional ceremony arch. The couple can stand either in between or in front of the installation. Either way it frames the couple beautifully whilst saying their “I dos”.

In this installation the dried elements were palm fronds and pampas grass stems combined with fresh large white dahlias, blush pink and toffee-coloured roses with several sprays of trailing white Phalaenopsis orchids. A combination which was truly stunning.

Sasha from Inspire Love Wedding and Events Hire came and completed all the last-minute preparation by completing the styling of the ceremony space, setting up the drinks table and the lawn games.

Michelle from Coal Coast Celebrants was here to coordinate everything and to complete all the necessary legal obligations.

Lauren was the musician for the day keeping guests entertained and welcoming the bridal party.

The groom and his groomsmen wore jeans and waistcoats with big black cowboys’ hats.

The bride and her attendants arrived in a couple of Dodge Rams.

Elly wore and elegant full-length white dress with sheer sleeves and her bouquet was made up of blush roses, carnations, and orchids. Some dried elements completed the gorgeous arrangement.

After short ceremony guests were able to enjoy the beautiful afternoon under the wisteria arbour with a beverage, some grazing platters and lawn games before heading up to the burrawang pub to continue the celebrations.

As always, we wish Nick and Elly all the best for their future together and thank them for allowing us to be apart of their big day.
