Actors Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa Paul, who have been dating for 11 years now, tied the knot on Monday in an intimate ceremony at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort in Chandigarh.
The couple shared photos from the wedding ceremony on social media the same day .
Rajkummar wrote, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. Here’s to forever .. and beyond”
Patralekhaa wrote, “I got married to my everything today; my boyfriend, my partner in crime, my family, my soulmate…My best friend for the last 11 years! There is no greater feeling than to be your wife! Here’s to our forever..”
Soon after their announcement, several celebrities congratulated the couple, including actors Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Taapsee Pannu and Huma Qureshi.
Both the bride and groom wore customised Sabyasachi pieces for the wedding ceremony. Patralekhaa donned a red tulle embroidered buti sari paired with an embroidered veil, inscribed with a Bengali verse.
Rajkummar wore a custom embroidered raw silk ivory jacket with gold plated Bengal tiger buttons paired with a Bangalore silk kurta and churidar. He also sported a red turban during the nuptials.
The two held a grand reception party at the same hotel later on Monday. The event was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa also had an engagement ceremony on Saturday at the same hotel in Chandigarh. While Rajkummar wore a white kurta-churidar set, pairing it with a jacket and white snickers, Patralekhaa sported a white off-shoulder gown.
The engagement ceremony was also attended by several of the couple’s friends, including Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem and director Mudassar Aziz.
A video of the couple both going down on one knee and exchanging rings during the engagement ceremony soon went viral.

After the engagement ceremony, the wedding invitation of the two also did rounds on social media.
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa first met during an ad shoot and have been dating since then.
Speaking to Humans of Bombay in 2019, Patralekhaa had opened up about her relationship with Rajkummar. She said, “I saw him for the first time in LSD. I thought the weird guy he played was actually what he was like. My perception of him was tarnished! He told me later, that he first saw me in an ad & thought, ‘I’m going to marry her.’ It was so ironic!”
