Sam & Aubrey are married and they had the most incredible intimate wedding ceremony day in every aspect, we truly couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Although they had to make a very emotional and challenging decision to postpone their wedding day, they also knew that it wouldn’t stop them from starting their journey together as husband and wife.
I’m so grateful that they included me in their day and I am just loving the added time I get to spend with my couples who continue with their wedding ceremony as planned even though the wedding celebration has been postponed. Selfishly, I get more time and that is a blessing out of this pandemic mess.
the intimate ceremony location
Sam & Aubrey were married at Aubrey’s parents home where she grew up.
As soon as I pulled up to the house it was love at first sight. The wrap around porch was the perfect choice for their ceremony and the light just flooded in so softly. I know I thanked Aubrey and her mom a million times for such gorgeous lighting!
I truly appreciate when I’m kept in mind as well as the lighting for such important moments.
the gift exchange
All of Aubrey’s details were beautiful, and on brand for me HAHA. I truly appreciate this woman! I loved how calm but anxious she was and my favorite part was when Sam’s gift to her was delivered, or so I thought.
Reading his sweet words plastered a smile on her face she had no control over. I adore these moments so much.
BUT THEN she hit me with Sam’s gift… and I thought it couldn’t get better. I told you guy’s she’s pretty incredible. Sam’s mother passed when he was younger and Aubrey wanted to honor Sam and his mother on their wedding day. So, she had a swatch of Sam’s mother’s wedding dress sewn into his wedding tie.
CUE THE TEARS! 😭
When I went to grab Sam, he asked me if he could finish getting ready and all he had to do was put his tie on. I politely (and nervously) asked him to do that in a bit and to come down without it. Seeing his smile and surprise as he read Aubrey’s sweet words and then seeing it click of what the gift meant was remarkable.
the live streamed ceremony
Their intimate wedding ceremony was live streamed and only immediate family was present but I swear to you it was so full of love that it seemed like there were 300 people there.
This whole family is amazing and I loved the time I got to be with them. Also, how sweet are my new flower girl friends? They rocked their job and looked flawless. I even got a few pointers on a flower girls duties so if I’m ever recruited to be a flower girl, I’m all set!
the confetti toss
We finished the I DO’s with a confetti toss and it was everything magical that we could have ever imagined.
We popped champagne and had a very sweet and to the point toast by Dad and if you have one of those caring and protective Dads (I do!) they don’t need many words to get across their feelings or point. Everyone celebrated and chuckled a little.
Also, I have to give a huge shout out of appreciation to Aubrey’s Dad for keeping the yard flawless! We joked about it during family portrait time but when I got home to edit I really REALLY appreciated the texture and dimension it created in the portrait images LOL. Now if you can share your tricks of the trade with my husband because our lawn needs serious help.
