Nicola Peltz Beckham’s wedding planners are now counter-suing her and her family over her lavish wedding to Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, just weeks after her father, Nelson Peltz, sued the planners for his $230,000 deposit.
The legal battle started earlier this month, when Nelson Peltz sued Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, claiming he had fired them mere weeks prior to the Peltz-Beckham wedding last April over “mistakes” the pair had made. Now, according to The Daily Mail, Braghin and Grijalba have launched their own claim over breach of contract and “interference” with a business deal, additionally suing Nicola Peltz Beckham, her mother Claudia, and wedding designer Rishi Patel for damages.
As part of this, thousands of WhatsApp messages, texts and emails have been submitted as court documents, which mean information about the planning of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding has been made public.
Braghin and Grijalba took over the wedding planning six weeks prior to the wedding after previous wedding planner Preston Bailey left “by mutual agreement” due to his “overcommitted” schedule. They claim to have worked 17-hour days on the wedding, which featured everything from organising Peltz’s hens party to planning food and entertainment on the big day.
We now know some of the behind-the-scenes details from the Peltz Beckham wedding. For example, Wendy’s (the U.S burger chain) food truck was organised for guests, and the couple got to create themed meals for the wedding like the ‘Nicola and Brooklyn Combo’. The couple also wanted a 70s-inspired after party, sharing a sunken lounge photo with a large orb light hanging overhead as inspiration and asking for the blend of the peach and pink hues with a “water aisle and matching water dance floor”. Nicola Peltz Beckham also wanted “early 2000s hip hop” for the music selection played by the band.
The $5.2 million dollar wedding has to have been one of the most lavish in recent Hollywood history. Nicola Peltz Beckham has talked a few times about the event, including how complications arose around her wedding dress (she was originally going to wear a Victoria Beckham creation, but after the atelier couldn’t make it in time, opted for Valentino). Both Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham have also shared many photos of the breathtaking event over the past year.
Even as the legal battle swirls, Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham are clearly still very much in love. Nicola recently shared a huge heart made of roses that Brooklyn had gifted her this Valentine’s Day, with her husband returning the sentiment, captioning a post of them together with “Happy Valentine’s Day to my forever baby x I’m the luckiest man I get to have you as my valentines every year forever.”
