Woman Interrupts Black Couples Small Hawaii Wedding Ceremony Over Covid-19 Rules

A video posted on social media shows a woman interpreting a couple’s wedding ceremony saying the beach is closed due to COIVD-19. The video started to circulate on Aug 15, shows the woman approaching the couple and heard saying “the cops are coming,” as she walked down Waimanalo Beach toward the ceremony. The woman says the beach is closed, which appears to be made up of a group of fewer than 10 people including several small children. According to the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, said the beach weeding permits are invalid through September 4th.

“You’re lying!” the woman said when the bride pointed to the beach home that the family was staying at.

“This is the beach, and the beach is closed,” the woman said. The group turned and started to go back to the beach home led by the officiant of the ceremony.

“Don’t bullsh-t us!” the woman said. “You guys have a vacation home, which is illegal.” She’s going to get arrested too pretty soon.”

“Oh no, it’s not harassing. The cops are coming,” the woman added. As of now, its not clear if the police ever came or not.
